What fabrication processes does Walco perform in-house?
Walco performs CNC plasma cutting, industrial saw cutting, material preparation and grinding, carbon steel structural and production welding, steel punching, hole patterns and drilling, industrial shearing, hydraulic press work, bending and forming, custom tooling and dies where appropriate, plus final assembly.
Can Walco fabricate from our drawings and CAD models?
Yes. Walco fabricates from customer drawings, specifications, CAD models and engineered designs, then provides completed components or assemblies ready for shipment, downstream manufacturing or jobsite delivery.
Does Walco supply finished assemblies or only loose parts?
Both. Walco can supply cut-and-prepped loose parts, or complete welded assemblies fitted, welded and finished in-house. In-house engineering support, including P.E. support, is available for fabrication planning, drawing interpretation and project coordination.
What material does Walco work with?
Carbon steel is Walco's core material focus: plate, structural shapes, tube, bar and components. Tell us the grade and specification called out on your drawing and we will confirm during quoting.
Does Walco do production runs or only one-offs?
Both. Walco supports one-off custom builds, project packages, and low- to medium-volume repeat production runs using fixtures and jigs to hold tolerance and consistency across the run.
Can Walco paint or coat finished steel?
Walco operates two full-size industrial paint dipping tanks in-house, along with material preparation and finishing stations. Specific coating systems are confirmed per project.
