Finished blue and orange steel frames strapped to a flatbed trailer outside Walco Fabricating

Steel that left
our yard.

Fabricated, finished and loaded in Pottsville. These are photographs of real Walco work, not stock imagery of somebody else's shop.

Selected programme

Painted steel racking
and support frames

A repeat fabrication programme: welded steel racking, uprights and support frames, finished in the customer's colours, then banded, blocked and loaded for over-the-road delivery.

Work like this is where a shop either has the process or does not. Every frame in the stack has to match the one before it, the paint has to go on a part that was built the same way twice, and the whole load has to leave the yard square, strapped and undamaged.

Walco fabricates, finishes and ships it from one building in Pottsville, so nothing moves between vendors between weld and truck.

What the programme involved

Cut, welded, finished,
loaded, gone

The steps behind the photographs above, all of them in-house.

  • Material cut and prepared from stock
  • Welded frames and support assemblies
  • Repeat parts built to match across the run
  • Finish coating in the customer's colours
  • Staging, banding and load planning
  • Flatbed loading and outbound shipping
